AR700 Automatic Refractometer

The Reichert AR700 Automatic Refractometers are among the most technologically advanced instruments available for measuring Refractive Index, Brix, or equivalent concentration units. These instruments incorporate an advanced Peltier thermal regulation system allowing the user to manually set the desired operating temperature on the easy to use graphic display. Within moments, the instrument will stabilize at the set temperature, eliminating the need for an external water bath circulator. Temperature may be set from 10 to 100 Degrees Celsius.


Automatic Temperature Equilibration Detection allows the user to load a hot or cold sample and immediately press the read button. Sample temperature is monitored until an equilibrium is reached with the instrument, at which time the reading will be taken. This ensures the highest level of reading accuracy without the need for a technician to monitor temperature or set a delay timer.


Advanced optics (including a sapphire prism for a virtually indestructible sample interface, as well as a 3600 cell sensor) provide the incredible accuracy of +/- 0.00001 Refractive Index and +/- 0.01 Brix accuracy. This is achieved across the entire reading range of 1.33000 to 1.60000 Refractive Index and the full Brix range.


While these features are ideal for the Research and Development department, these instruments are also well suited for the production line. With an incredibly simple to use, operator friendly software system and graphic LCD display, anyone can accurately and confidently operate an AR700 Automatic Refractometer. Tested extensively throughout the food and beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical markets.

Hundreds of scales are available, or users can create their own for their unique products. Readability and measurement unit names are user definable as well.


Five Button Operation with Graphic Display and Simple, User Friendly Software - Extreme simplicity of use for anyone from swing shift production line operators to laboratory technicians and research scientists, while offering flexibility in supervisor controlled sample analysis protocols.
