Palm Abbe Digital Wine Refractometer
Measure Baume and Actual Sugar Content with Laboratory Precision
The Palm Abbe digital wine refractometer will give you unprecedented accuracy and precision, in a handheld refractometer, when measuring either Baume or actual sugar content of grape juice or grape must. This refractometer was designed specifically for the international wine industry and professional viticulturist and is the only digital refractometer that is rugged enough for everyday use in a winery or vineyard.
The digital wine refractometer breaks the price barrier that previously divided digital refractometers from traditional handheld analog refractometers, while also breaking the performance barrier separating digital handheld instruments and intermediate bench-top refractometers. It is exactly the kind of bold, cutting-edge technology you would expect from MISCO, the company that pioneered the digital handheld refractometer.
Easy-to-Use
The Palm Abbe wine refractometer is fast, convenient, and easy to use. Simply place a few drops of juice from the grape, or grape must, into the stainless-steel well and press a button. The custom-designed microprocessor delivers a nearly instantaneous readout in Baume or sugar content in grams per Liter. Nonlinear temperature compensation is automatic and insures that fluids read between 0 and 50 °C (+32 to 122 °F) are measured accurately.
The large dual-line LCD display is easily read, even in dim light, and removes the subjectivity associated with interpreting where a boundary line crosses tiny scale divisions. And, it is so easy to use! The user interface consists of two buttons, one to take readings and the other to step through various menu options.
Calibration is automatic and does not require the use of special calibration solutions, or tools. The Palm Abbe wine refractometer automatically calibrates itself to water and is ready to use in seconds. No more screws to turn and nothing to adjust.
Measurements and prompts on the digital wine refractometer may be displayed in English, Spanish, French, German, or Russian. This fourth-generation digital refractometer puts laboratory precision in the palm of your hand. Not just laboratory precision, but laboratory precision for the price of a traditional analog refractometer.
Many Wine Scales to Choose From to Meet Your Measurement Needs
Special models are available with scales for various international units of measure including Refractive Index, Specific Gravity @ 20 °C. Specific Gravity @ 17.5 °C, Density (kg/L), Plato, Baume, Oechsle, Klosterneuburger Mostwaage (KMW), and the actual Sugar Content in grams per liter or in grams per kilogram. Scales are also available for measuring the Potential Alcohol of grape must and Actual Alcohol percent by volume of finished wine via distillation.
With the PA203X digital wine refractometer, you have the flexibility to mix and match up to five different scales of your choosing, giving you the ability to create truly custom wine testing instruments.
