How We “Do It Better”
Our founder charged us with his vision, “Do it right, or don’t do it at all.” However, our LEAN philosophy takes exception to this. The last six words are waste and do not add value. So, we eliminated them and adopted the, “Do it Right!” mindset. We soon realized that “Do it Right” did not address our conviction for continuous improvement. So, we changed it to “Do it Better.” We try to do it better than we did yesterday, do it better than the customer expects, do it better than our competition, and do it better than even we thought possible.
MISCO’s Quality Commitment
Our entire company is organized and committed around the primary and essential purpose of adding customer value by realizing quality and continuous improvement throughout our business processes. We must never lose sight of these two objectives in an attempt to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001 and other standards, which are at best only secondary objectives.
Our fundamental commitment to meeting customers’ requirements and safeguarding quality Is possible by applying full personal attention and the highest professional standards. We accomplish this by providing a framework for setting and reviewing relevant and necessary quality objectives that correlate to our customers’ needs and our organization’s strategic direction. MISCO’s staff members’ resolve is the basis for our accomplishments, as is our shared culture of quality and continuous improvement relating to our products, processes, and service effectiveness.
Conflict-Free Material Sourcing Policy
“Conflict minerals,” as defined by the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, Section 1502(e)(4), originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are sometimes mined and sold, under the control of armed groups, to finance conflict characterized by extreme levels of violence. Unfortunately, some of these minerals, and the metals created from them (such as tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold), can make their way into the supply chain of products used around the world.
As part of our respect for human rights and our commitment to corporate responsibility in our own operations and in our global supply chain, it is our policy that we will not knowingly source or use components containing Conflict Minerals should these minerals originate in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), an adjoining country, or other conflict zone.
MISCO’s suppliers naturally acquire and use minerals from multiple sources worldwide. MISCO acquires no material directly from the conflict zone or directly from any smelter. We expect our suppliers to have in place policies and due diligence measures that will enable them to reasonably assure that products and components supplied to us containing conflict minerals are DRC conflict free. We expect our suppliers to comply with the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) Code of Conduct and conduct their business in alignment with EICC goals and objectives.
