Calibration is automatic and does not require the use of special calibration solutions, or tools. The Palm Abbe wine refractometer automatically calibrates itself to water and is ready to use in seconds. No more screws to turn and nothing to adjust. Special models are available with scales for various international units of measure including Refractive Index, Specific Gravity @ 20 'C. Specific Gravity @ 17.5 'C, Density (kg/L), Plato, Baume, Oechsle, Klosterneuburger Mostwaage (KMW), and the actual Sugar Content in grams per liter or in grams per kilogram. Scales are also available for measuring the Potential Alcohol of grape must and Actual Alcohol percent by volume of finished wine. With the Palm Abbe PA203X, you have the flexibility to mix and match up to five different scales of your choosing, giving you the ability to create truly custom wine testing instruments.
